Public Art

William Freer, artist, has become more and more involved in very large-scale sculptures for public spaces ~ pieces that tell a story, offer a place for conversation, a celebration of the surroundings. Currently his work is in the running for two commissions.

Public Sculpture Concepts

The concepts below were developed for a park in Albuquerque, New Mexico and other works have been submitted for different spaces.  He will post them when appropriate.

MY MOUNTAIN, MY SKY

Submission for a Sandia Mountains public sculpture, framing how everyone sees the mountain differently.

Submission for a Sandia Mountains public sculpture, telling the story of "Sandia Man."
